Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of replacing my two helm chairs and wanted to see if anyone has done that. If so, what chairs did you find that worked for the 28 TE. Any good deals out there?
Thanks,
Roland

Those are sweet but JUST a bit pricey!Russell wrote:Look at the post just down the list called Yachty in one easy step about helm seats.
Anyone swap out the ugly roto-molded buckets for something a little nicer? Ladderbacks?

Re: Helm Seats
I have been planning to upgrade the helm seats on Quest. I found a ladder back design from Lebroc ( helmchair.com )called the Sailfish. One appealing feature is that they make it in a flip up bolster version. I think this could be handy for easy switches from standing to sitting. Bolster up for standing, down for sitting without adjusting the slide. The standard version is $440 and the flip up bolster version $535. These prices are without spider, slide, or swivel but they should mount to your existing hardware.

I have two helm seats from the flying bridge of my 35TE that are available and may wirk for you. Nice shape no rips or tears covers bases etc.

Hi Halcyon,
How much are you asking for the chairs? Would they work on the 28TE I have the base as you know.

Re: Helm Seats
Roland, I don't know if they will fit your boat. I can get some dimensions this weekend. As far as price, i haven't given it much though. a quick look at the jamestown supply catalog shows similar seats in the $500 to $1,000 range. how about $400 for the pair, shipping at cost ??

Halacyon,
Let me know once you take the dimensions. Price sounds good.
