2004 Albin 28TE Stereo Wiring

Post by RustyTank »

Builder installed stereo in the cabin, over the small locker...

Power comes in on three wires -

black / ground
Red / Positive - NOT powerd? (this is the trouble... system looking for iginition power)
yellow & Purple - Hot 12v...

the wires head aft through the head I think... any Idea where they terminate?

They should terminate on the bus bars behind the helm, accessed through the head, behind the mirror.

Red should go to the DC main bus (switched off by the DC Main breaker), Yellow goes to your non-switched bus (memory for the radio presets)

Unlike a car the radio is not normally affected by the ignition switch.

Hope that helps!
