Back Deck Hatch on Engine Box 28TE

Check out the back deck hatch on this engine box 28. Looks like it gives access to the connections for the fuel hoses and sender wires? First I've seen of this type.

Interesting. I both like and dislike that.

Like that it does look like it would give access to the top of the tank and better access to the stern mounted mechanicals.

Dislike that I'd have to clear everything from the rear of the cockpit to access any of it. When I kept my boat on a mooring I shut off the engine raw water seacock every single time I left the boat.

It would be interesting to see if that's one big opening or if the cross-members are just under that hatch.

True - however my pumps are far less likely to die in the slip. On a mooring it's an absolute outcome!
