Hi 32+2 Owners -
In talking with Ken from Standish Boatyard this past Saturday, he mentioned that owners of 32+2 with a Cummins engine should be sure to clean or repace the air seperator located inside the air filter box at least every 4-5 years. It is a washable filter but that when neglected can be a problem. He said it is a pain to get to and a pain to disassemble but that he has seen two recently that had been neglected to the point of falling apart and pieces of the metal cage being sucked into the engine. This results in overheating and can be the start of the end for the engine.
Just thought I'd pass along his message. Ken doesn't get on the forum as much as he should but I told him I would update people here for him.

Re: 32+2 Air Seperator on Cummins Engine
Good post Jack .... just replaced mine for the 2nd time at spring commissioning this year / washed and oiled otherwise. Don't forget the filter for the vacuum regulator as well. Just as we like to breath fresh air so do our power plants. Here is a link to Walker AirSep and the Cummins page .... http://www.walkerairsep.com/product_detail.asp?id=112
