I guess I should have included this in my last post: I also need a survey, and I'm sure it would be to my benefit to have a mechanic who is well versed in Albins. Does anyone know of a capable Mac on Long Island?

Just remember that the surveryor works for you! That said I recommend reviewing the copy before it is "official".
The surveryor who did my Albin made many mistakes. Some got me into pseudo trouble trying to get insurance. It was only after some quick e mails that I was able to get the situation in control.
For example. he wrote that the rudder stuffing box was leaking. Hell it was barely a trace of water, It evaporated before it made it to the bilge sump, like it should be. I could not even get winter insurance on the hard until I wrote the insurance company a letter.
The he had the tank capacities and materials all changed around. I finally had to send him an official letter to make him correct his report. He did but it was a hassle.

Zinbaad, Jake, John: Thanks for the referrals and the advice! John, I will definitely make sure the report doesn't work against me. Wow, you pay all that money to create a problem for yourself!
