I was a little concerned when the Mayor announced that the city can't afford fireworks this year. From what I understand a private company is going to pick up the tab.
Once we are settled into the slip it will be a fun weekend.

Oh a slip! I thought you were going to brave anchoring up in the harbor, and then get in the middle of the mad dash in the dark after the display was over. I have heard horror stories. Where did you get the slip?

We anchored once years ago. It was a nightmare. Getting there, staying there, and leaving there. It was hard to enjoy the show worrying about everything. This year we're in the slip. Friends will drive to the marina (Inner Harbor East) and join us. We won't leave until Monday morning.

We came in Friday. inner Harbor East is a great spot. We are not far the fireworks barge. The marina started filling up fast yesterday. It's going to be a fun day. Typical Baltimore weather. Hot and humid. (92-97 today) Forecast for tomorrow is 101. Dinner last night at Flemming's. Best steaks and service I have had in a long time.

Lucky you. Wish I was there but I'm in the office working on a proposal this weekend. I have an invitation to watch the fireworks from a friend's rooftop dec in Fells Point but I don't think I'll make it even by car. So take a walk to Fells Point and hoist a beer in the Cat's Eye for me. Happy Fourth.

Sorry you missed the show. It was great. We had about 10 people. Another 8 on the boat next to us. Turned into a party! Plenty of food and drinks.
I left 7:00 this morning. The Patapsco was FAC. When I turned into the bay it was glass. Perfect ride home. I'm glad I left early. The temp was already 89 at 10:00 when I left the marina. Another hot one today!

We already reserved slip J-7 for next year.
