Northern Lights Lugger Generator not starting
Nordvika has a Northern Lights Lugger 5kw genny (673 series, not sure which specific one) that will not start. It cranks and cranks and cranks, but does not start. I've replaced the fuel filters, bled the fuel lines as per the manual, but still, it just cranks and cranks and never starts. Aside from hiring a diesel mechanic, does anyone have any advice one what to try next or how to troubleshoot this problem?

Re: Northern Lights Lugger Generator not starting
Check to make sure the glow plugs are working. No glow plug heat, no start.
It will probably start using WD40 without the glowplugs working. WD will not hurt the engine. Remove the air filter, spray in a couple seconds worth, turn it over. That should also start the fuel flow should there be an air bubble blocking up the works.
