Hull blue prints for 28
Hello again all . We had a survey done a 28 and there are some major fiberglass issues from hull to bulkheads . The surveyor stopped survey when he came across to bad bulkheads . I was wandering about stringers ,if any . But does any body know where to get hull blueprints on a 94- 28 . I would like to look at a set and see where everything ties in and where else to look for trouble . Or make a decsion on just to walk away even if the price comes dwn with repair costs thx

Terence Compton was the naval architect and I think he'd be a better source than Albin Marine or its successors. He may reside in the UK if he's still alive.
Problem with these boats - and probably any production boat - is that changes to the original design are always implemented without much, if any, documentation because production-line efficiency always comes first and usually there's no engineer on hand to analyze, vet and record the change. In any case the 1994 models are pretty early in the stream so you could expect a lot of changes for the benefit of the production line.
Another indication of how the line works is to compare the wiring from one boat to another. Some wise person on this site once pointed out they probably had one expert and a crew of lesser-skilled people who wired these boats. Wednesday's job will be different from Thursday's. When the brown wire ran out they used yellow. And always remember the former owner(s) probably did it wrong, too.
The only way to be really sure is to take the thing apart and see how it was made.
