Hi Albin Fans:
I am looking for a pair of A25 upper chainplates, that go on the outside of the forward cabin window. I also need one tang that connects the upper & lower chainplates. If there is someone in southern California, who has an A25, with a sail rig, please let me know the location of your boat. I can make a trip and take pictures and take measurements of the chainplates, so I can have some fabricated. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Dave P (1970 A25 Series 2 #575 Ticaboo)

Re: A25 Chainplates
Davep,
Good luck in your search. I have to admit that I had no idea what a chainplate is. So, I looked it up.
Sorry to sound like a newbie,
John

Now I'm really confused.Chainplate: Often referred to as a channel plate, these are iron or steel plates attached to the outside of a vessel's hull to which are connected the deadeyes by which the shrouds are secured. In larger vessels the plates may be replaced with chains.

Re: A25 Chainplates
John, the shrouds are the guy wires that hold the mast verticle, specfically those that support it side to side. The chain plates attach the shrouds to the hull. No wonder sailors and powerboaters don't understand each other. They speak different languages. I'm "bi-lingual". All boats are great.
