A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 PM EST

Meanwhile, we had the warmest January ever on record out here, and February looks to be shaping up just the same.

But I will say, 55 degrees has never felt so cold. I'm ready for it to be over.

I am reaaly happy that the bulk of the storms have been missing NW Ct this winter so far. I'm sure we're overdue but we made it halfway thru with not much at all.
Everything has been clearing us to our south.
Sorry Chesapeake guys...

It hit 60 degrees today in Tacoma, and was sunny most of the afternoon. Very nice day.

We are up to 32" predicted. Our goofy Governor declared a state of emergency. I guess he's going after the federal funds. He's not concerned about the panic he caused.

What blew through the Mid Atlantic last night & this morning is ours to get this evening. No snow of course but 50plus kts wind & plenty of rain. The infrared sat pic is looking pretty ugly.

Ah well!!! I got some work done on my Chesapeake deadrise yesterday & the first serious potential buyer stopped by in quite some time to have a look.

We woke up to about 2 feet! 2 large trees down in our neighbor's yard. We have food, coffee, power, toilet paper. I am really glad that I spent the money for shrink wrap this year. No worries about the boat. At one point early this morning we had lightning.

I agree, this has been the worst winter in Norfolk for quite a while. The freezing storms throughout January ruined the striper season by driving the schools down off the NC coast. December was warmer than usual delaying the migration south and then the storms kept us on shore till the fish were gone from VA waters. I have not been to my boat in a month and hope to go check on it today before the temperatures drop below freezing and the snow starts again with gusts up to 50 MPH along the coast. Not our usual weather.

Well, this storm is moving right along! The worst of it should pass in a few hours. It is one raw day out there right now. Not real cold but the wind is honking & the rain is almost horizontal. Wind gusts over 50.

In a press release issued today, former almost President and part time climatologist , medium , spiritual advisor and inventor of the internet Alvin Gore said that the recent weather changes were George Bush's fault.

So, there, now we have a real answer to global warming.

Get him to talk more. Maybe all the hot air will melt the snow.
