Pictures came through here scrambled, just blocks of color. How's it going? Got my radar dome down last weekend. Going to start shrink wrapping later today.

That was odd - they initially posted fine and John was able to see them the day after I uploaded? I re-uploaded them, hopefully John doesn't mess them up againRicM wrote:Rob:

Going good but "Mother Nature's" sister "Mrs. Marine Weather" has been a real PIA this fall The only hope has been being able to steal a few week days which I have not been able to do too often. Hopefully the next 6 or 7 weeks is better....
Did you need the BFH for the radome or did it come down in one piece? I assume you didn't tell Dave what you were doing or he'd a suggested taking a sawzall to the arch tubing and then all you have to do is have it welded when you get her down to FL.

Re: Tog off Moriches
Funny story - Last fall a guy at the docks was working on a boat 2 or 3 slips down from mine. He was hanging off the flybridge tapping on a part with a small hammer like no tomorrow. After awhile my brother says to me, "He needs a bfh!" Well the guy heard him and yells down - "So have you got a bigger F@c&ing Hammer!" After killing ourselves laughing and realizing that sound really travels on the water, we gave him the hammer from my BJ's tool kit. I've been told several times, "that doesn't belong on a boat." It's come in handy though.RobS wrote:RicM wrote:Rob:

Ric - I'm jealous as all hell. You will have to post available visiting hours and fishing derby invites for us snow bound working stiffs.

Re: Tog off Moriches
Jack & Rob,
I have started a new thread "Southern Venture" to chronicle the whole experience of the FL trip. While I am pretty excited and it has been a ray of light as the days grown shorter, I have to consciously avoid thinking about how much it is costing per visit. Ohhh no! I just thought about it again! Bad brain, bad brain! I am really pleased that the boat is not bigger (how often do you hear that?), it seems that this is about the maximum size practical for a scheme like this. Any bigger you really have to pay someone to drive it down on it's own bottom, and the other ancillary costs just spiral upward so rapidly. I will be posting regular progress reports on the thread mentioned above, as well as fishing reports.

Thanks for the update John.
I noticed last night that it was a general problem with the images, not just my post....
