We have a 31, and while I'm certain it has "more" storage than the 28, I would imagine that the layouts are very similar; a bit short on overall storage. We are wanting to set things up in the cabin so the two of us can cruise comfortably without "storing" too much stuff on the bed and having to switch everything around daily. I'd appreciate any thoughts and even better, pictures, of any ideas that other owners have found workable. Our boat has the two "optional" cabinets to the left and right above the settee, but not the "other" optional cabinets at the bow end where many also have their TV, so I know we can enhance that forward area. Any other thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated!! Many thanks.....

Re: Storage question for TE's
I had some additional cabinets made to match the ones that came with my boat. A photo was posted on this forum on 20 Jan o8 and can be seen by scrolling down to that date.

Thanks! They look very nice, and it looks like they would add a lot of storage space.

Re: Storage question for TE's
I assume you are aware of the storage behind the aft dinette backrests. We kept pots and pans in one side and towels in the other.
I actually think my old Albin 31 had more storage than my new Tiara 38.
Which boat did you buy?

Re: Storage question for TE's
Thanks for your response, tuxedo! We just bought a 1997 31TE and had it brought by truck from Florida to Maryland. So far we had just a couple of days on it, and we love it. This weekend we're going to take it from the Sassafras River, where we had it delivered and "re-commissioned" (radar arch, etc. all put back on and operating) down to Kent Island. We're very much looking forward to many happy cruises on it. I think the pots and pans behind the seats is an excellent idea; I hadn't thought of that, and was wondering exactly WHERE in the world to put them! Storage on a boat is always "interesting", isn't it?!
