Blown Lights on AC and DC electrical panels

Post by lanmik »

I have a 2003 Albin 28 with several lights on the AC and DC electrical panels that appear to be blown out. Does anyone know how I would go about replacing them?

I had one out last year, it was a 120V indicator LED.
I assumed LEDs last almost forever, I guess not.
I bought the below and had to solder it in as a replacement. It was slightly smaller than the original but fit. If I were doing it again I would try to find the same size.

Remember there are 120V ones with resistors inline and 12v ones...

Thanks for posting and sharing Matt. I had a feeling soldering was involved. My LED for the battery charger switch is the one that is out. That is on 24/7 when dockside along with the DC FRIDGE switch / probably the next to go. I'm going to try and hunt out the proper size over lay-up this winter and if I find it I'll let you know who makes it. Maybe Ken at Standish can save us the trouble .... I think I'll call him.

Radio Shack has a pretty good supply, different sizes and voltage.
