RV trip to New England & Maritimes

Post by Veebyes2 »

We didn't make it to the 'left coast' this sprng. That Wyoming blowover shortened that trip but we are very much back on the road & ready to head NE this September. Did not spot any Albins last trip till last weekend while out on the Miles River, MD watching Log Canoe racing. Saw a couple 28s. 'Quest' was the name on one. Met the owners of the other.

We should be on the road 2nd week of Sep doing a roughly anticlockwise trip from MD to CT, VT, NH, ME, NB, up to Cape Breton, rtn via ME, across maybe as far as Ottawa, then down through NY, PA & back to the Easton, MD area by early Nov.

Anyone along the way?

Midcoast Maine, Boothbay area. Swing by, there is room for the RV and a fresh keg.

Ok, I know most of these:
MD: Maryland
CT: Connecticut
VT: Vermont
NH: New Hampshire
ME: Maine

But what the heck is NB? One of the Canadian Provinces?

Lets see, those are:
British Columbia
Northern Territory
Yukon
Alberta
Saskatchawan (or however the hell those hosers spell it)
Ontario
Nova Scotia
Newfoundland

New Boston?

NB = New Brunswick and "nota bene" = "note well" or "pay close attention".

Boothbay sounds like a good excuse to get off hwy 1. The keg sounds good too.

Will also be stopping at East Haddam for a few days.

Still early to be guessing which date where yet. Got pre trip chores/upgrades to do in MD first.

If you are near Newport, RI by all means stop in Jamestown (Conancicut Island) and say hello. Plenty of room!

Wickford RI here, we're close to Jamestown (5 minutes) and Newport (12) while we don't have RV parking (condo rules) Id be glad to take you fishing.

Thanks for the offers in RI but the closest we will get this time will be East Haddam, CT to see a relative then go N to give Boston a very wide berth.

Trying the work Boothbay into a weekend unless day of the week does not matter.

Weekends are better, but week days are not out of the question. We are going to be in Bar Harbor from the 18th to the 20th.

Hey Kim

We are aiming for Boothbay th2 25th to 27th. While you are in Bar Harbour we should be kicking around central VT. As we always travel, all is subject to change. Much depends on how long some upgrades take me in the MD boatyard.

If you come through the Burlington, VT, area, let me know. Plenty of parking space.

Oh, no Albin . . . maybe someday! But if you're here before we haul, we can show you some of Lake Champlain on a Trojan F32.
