I am looking at purchasing a 1995 TE28. The survey shows moister in the transom surrounding the
areas where the lower swim platform brackets are mounted through the hull.
My question...is the transom balsacore like the bottom, or plywood?
Thanks,
Duenorth

Re: Transom Trouble
Duenorth,
That's a question I can't answer.
Perhaps someone else on this site can furnish the answer.
If no one chimes in, a valuable resource is Standish Boat Yard in Tiverton, RI.
Ken Hilton is very knowlegable regarding Albins

I will check with Standish Boat Yard.
I purchased the boat this week, it is
being shipped to the Cape next week.
Can't wait to get my hands on it!!!
