wet sanded hull then super duty 3m amazing

Post by saltshaker28 »

Copy of IMG00010-20090502-1220.jpg
i used 800p sand paper and then i went to 1500p sand paper too do the ( wet sanding ).

i was a little skeptical when i was done, then i used superduty 3m compound and we worked in hard we buffed it and it came out beautiful, but i am still not satisfied now after i use the finesse 2 then the wax ill post another pic and give u my opion but the boat looks like new but again i went this far why not go one more step with the finesse 2

its alot of leg work
ps if u wet sound u need a sanding block my opion get the sponge like sander gets in the curves better
again lots of muscle and patience goes into it

The result of all that work is beautiful isn't it? I was very impressed with the job on mine. The downside is that oxidation will begin to reappear within 3-4 months. That is what I am told. I've already scheduled a in-the-water rewax in July.

Looks great!

Please don't call me "Benedict Arnold" but I sent the pic above and "the process steps" to a Mainship owner friend of mine who needs to do some wet sanding.
Hey they still allow me to attend raftups and meetings
(However they gave me the official title of "Director of foreign vessel integration". )
