Thanks for posting. I've read that article about the 40 cutter before. I think the owner/purchaser was a member here. Never heard any more about it but with Albin closing the deal may have gone bad. I read the other article as well. Tiderunner boats? Never hear of them. What type of boat is that?

I see your in Cape May. We are hoping to cruise there this season. I'll look you up.

Look at Kitsap County.

To all you Albin fans, this one's for you.
http://ripoffreport.com/reports/0/342/RipOff0342486.htm (I hope that is the right one)
In Kitsap County, CERB approved a $400,000 loan and a $155,400 grant to the Port of Bremerton to assist with the cost of constructing a 2,550-foot waterline to support the retention and expansion of Palmer Marine, LLC, a manufacturer of recreational boats. Palmer Marine will construct a new manufacturing facility to meet the company’s current and future growth needs. They will keep 30 existing jobs and create 30 future full-time jobs.
I wish he would check in here or at FTC. There are some nasty things being said about defaulted loans from NC and then he gets another one from WA.

I can't view the Fish The Classic website, so I can only interpret what is posted here. I was unaware of Bladen's facility in Port Orchard, which is just up the road from me.

Tiderunner was a brand of boat built right here in Gig Harbor for many years and was owned by a friend of my father, who has since retired. Their distinctive design was ubiquitous in the South Puget Sound area in my childhood, and MANY Tiderunners are still around here. They were a simple design catereing to salmon fisherman in Puget Sound, and just about everyone around here has owned or fished in one at least once in their life. I don't know the fate of the brand, but I know they stopped producing boats, at least in large numbers, perhaps ten or more years ago. Someone may have bought the naming rights and produced a different boat in small numbers since then. I know this much at least, the old facility on the waterfront in Gig Harbor was converted into shops and restaurants in the mid-90's when they moved their production activities to Seattle. I had dinner in one of them just last week.
