Out of storage and back in the water this week, down to a short list of projects left to do now. In side storage is great but spendy  Bottom paint, hull buff, small electrical problems, new L16 batteries, and prop speed on metal.

Top speed increased from 23 kn to 26, full throttle increased from 2810 to 2900, and fuel consumsion at 3050 RPM dropped from 8.7 to 8.2 gph :D
Total hours last year 360, I havn't total the fuel yet.

What did you treat the underwater metal with? Have you used it before, and does it work?

Hi Carl,
The stuff is called Propspeed. I have not used this stuff before but I know two guys that used it last year and they skipped the 6 month zink change and after one year they still had zinks left  They have trawler hulls so did not notice the 10% increase in speed or the decrease in fuel comsumsion.
It is suppose to last 1 to 2 years.

Looks like a show boat - you better get another one so you don't get that one all yucky! Never heard of that paint/coating. Will look it up.

A better than 10% increase in speed....how clean was the bottom and running gear when you pulled her last time? Does that increase in speed/rpms appear to be all because of the new coating?

I imagine any previously coated metals were stripped down to bare? Nicely done.........

Hi Rob,
It is not a show boat, it just gets a good cleaning once a year. There are fish scales and guts on it now as opening day for salmon was sunday.
The figures are the difference from last years with a clean bottom and running gear, full water and fuel tanks fishing gear and the matees stuff, but did not treat running gear. My zinks are gone after 6 months and i hope that they last longer now.
And yes metals have to be sanded and stripped.

Hey Jack,
Ditto on the boat, but it has more color in the hair :?:

I'm jealous - just snow and ice on mine. Thanks for the feedback, quite positive for sure.

Nice looking boat! So, have you gone on over to the Rendezvous thread to offer your input on a date? I want to see your boat in person.
