Our 32+2 CB has a ZF Hurth HSW 800V-2.0 transmission. I am not able to locate any of the "exact" type of ATF oils the owner's manual recommends. I find things like Pennsoil ATF - which says it is a substititue for Dextron IIV, and things like that. For any of you with this type transmission, I would appreciate knowing which type of "approved" ATF you are using.

Well, I wouldn't think it would use ATF. That's for automatic transmissions, which are quite different animals than a simple marine F-N-R transmission. I'm no expert, but I would expect it would use a much heavier gear oil. What does the manual say?

I had a Hurth in my previous boat and it used regular Dextron III or IV ATF. I have a manual and I remember that the list of approved fluids was hard to decipher so I called Hurth and they said just use ATF.
