Watched the parade from the pier at the Wild Duck Cafe last night. This is a annual event sponsored by Chesapeake Bay Memories Charities. http://www.chesapeakebaymemories.org.
The parade had about 15 boats this year. It's the 6th year they have had an organized event. I took some pics but none really turned out well.
For those in our area, there are new owners again. They had no idea what to expect. The place was packed. The waitress tried to keep up but she was overwhelmed. Service was very slow and there must have only been one cook. I talked to the new owners, Ron and Rhonda. Nice folks. Next year he will be ready. He says he'll open the outdoor tiki bar for the parade. He lost a lot of business last night. But, we didn't bitch (too much), had fun and enjoyed the parade.
Next weekend is the parade at the Inner Harbor to Fells Point. 50+ boats.
