New here but I Notice 100% Viewing and 1% Replies to Posts?

As a newcomer to this Great web site I notice looking at the viewing columns a ratio of 100/1 members viewing with barely any responses to posts. I do realize its a bit off season but then again we home sitting on our computers . Come on guys Post up & add a few experienced replies & opinions. Thats what make a great forum!

Statistics show that the busiest days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Wednesday. (in that order)
The weekends are the least busy. Things pickup Sunday evening. I'm assuming others, like I, are either on the boat, working on the boat, or spending time with family. Weekend traffic does increase Dec. - March as most of the east coast pulls their boats.
We also have quite a few members that visit 3 or 4 times per week but seldom post. Some folks just enjoy the information that is on hand. I've followed your posts myself and enjoy reading them. I also noted that most or all of your questions have been replied to. Sometimes it takes a couple of day for someone to jump in.
Since this board is geared to just one brand the traffic is much lighter. Not like THT, boatdiesel, boatered, and all the others.

Most members here are the "stong, silent type". That is, they don't say much, but when they do, everyone listens. They don't repeat things that others have said, and only speak up when they feel they can add something useful.

Some boards are filled with "diarreah of the mouth" types, who just say whatever's on their mind at that particular moment without giving much thought to it.

I must say, I find pleasure in participating in both styles of discussion, but I find the former to be much more functional when it comes to a specific topic, like Albin boats.

Myself, I'm more of the latter type. Much to everyone's disbelief, I actually reign it in here.

Probably like me since we are both in the northeast, Zinbaad has hauled his boat and is looking for some cold weather "boating activity". We get starved for that very early in the fall round these parts. LOL
Me, I'm so busy the next few weeks catching up on the home-owner projects that get 200% neglected during boating season.
After the deep freeze starts and the snow flies, then I'll have more computer time to burn LOL

Man.... I will never complain about winter boating again! Up here in the Pacific Northwest, the winter weather can be pretty tough but at least we don't go into those deep freezes and our boats can stay in the water year around!

I'm going to second Anthony's offer. Anyone in the Seattle area this winter who would like to spend a few hours on the water, if you give me enough notice, I can get you your fix. And there really is no better way to see the area than from the water.

I will come in as a third to Anthony's and Mariner's offer.

If you are planning to be in the San Francisco area, give me a heads up as early as possible and we will try and plan a tour of the bay. The storm window has opened up around here but we have some really nice days mixed in between them.

We have a beautiful fireworks display off the top of the Space Needle... prime viewing is only a 5 minute boat ride from the slip! Let's go!!!

It's only November and you guys are killing me already. My boat comes out this week and it feels like it will be five years before the weather warms up and I can enjoy my boat again. I think we should talk about something else for a few months

You made me check my calendar. I'm out next weekend!
This weekend sucked anyway. Cold, windy, blowing, and that was in my backyard!
We bundled up for a ride only to find out the wind blew the water out.

John, Where were you boating this weekend? I went out Saturday morning and it was beautiful! Caught some rockfish and back at the dock by noon. The trees around the eastern bay and miles river are looking great. I wont pull mine until Dec if you want to take a ride one day. Waiting for the big ones to show up!

Your right. Saturday was THE day to go out. But, I had "stuff" to do. We tried Sunday. I couldn't get out of the slip. We hung out at the boat for awhile until I fell in. Yup, cell phone, wallet. T-Moble loves me. Once a year at least.

I'm learning a lot here about many things, specifically I am amazed at the many ways there are to tackle and address a problem. So for me, unless I really have good advice/info, I just listen.
