Stellwagen Bank Tuna
Had quite a trip yesterday among all the whales. Stopped on the way out because of heavy marks on the fish finder. Turned out to be a huge school of haddock and cod. Kept a haddock and then headed out to the northeast corner, and a little north of it, and did pretty well. Worked white sluggos, and diamond jigs and then trolled deep diving plugs. Two dropped fish and two to the boat. We kept this one (120#) and let another 100+ pound fish.

Good Job Captain! Congratulations!
Trolled white sluggos and X-raps to no avail this past Saturday. Back on the bank Wednesday and then the boat gets hauled Fiday.

It gets a bit tough when the contracts in this area end Oct. 12th and the floats get pulled out from beneath/beside you!RobS wrote:Seems a bit early Mr. Hard Enclosure....Pitou wrote:...the boat gets hauled Fiday.
I start getting a little grumpy this time every year and threaten to move out of the river and find a true "salty harbor".
PS ..... no fish today .... had a closing pushed up and decided to go grab my 20k instead.

I figured there was more to it, wow Oct 12th, that should only apply to SeaRays and the like. I guess I'm spoiled being at a private residence and not having any rules to abide by...Pitou wrote: It gets a bit tough when the contracts in this area end Oct. 12th and the floats get pulled out from beneath/beside you!

Hi gents. I'll be chasing bluefin well into November if you can ever get up to Boston. Be good to see you guys again and I'll use any excuse to head out offshore.

another stelwagon Tuna landed by an Albin
never thought i'd really need the aft door to haul in a Tuna but it came in handy for this 59 inch fish caught in late sept. Albin 28 FD is a solid platform for landing some serious game fish. (click on the photo for a better image)
