Last minute Tuna invite
If any of you guys are in the Boston area this Friday, we've had a big push of 100 - 200# bluefin about 15 miles east. They've been busting schools of halfbeaks on the surface. I'm heading out early Friday morning if anyone would care to join me aboard Legacy. Leave the dock at 5 and back by 1. Will be pitching poppers and bouncing butterfly jigs.

Tuna
Rick:
I might be interested. I would very much like to learn both techniques as the tuna have started to show around Block (footballs, 35-50#) and I have only trolled for them in the past. The determining factor for me, however, is a big real estate closing on new financing for my building in Providence this week. Don't save me a seat, but if there is one open and I am free of other responsibilities, I would love to go and of course will share fuel & costs.

Any time
Love to have you aboard Ric, I'm also going out next week so there is always a spot for you. I'm no expert but have had some success jigging and casting to them. Good luck with your financing deal.
All the best.

It's bluefin mania out on the bank right now. Just left the tackle shop where a guy just pulled in with a 68" bluefin on ice in the back of his truck. I left w/ 2 new squid bars and 1 new ballyhoo bar / halfbeaks are in ..... headed out for Sat., Sun., Monday.
For the last 2 weeks I've been eating tuna caught by others .... looking to the fish gods

Tuna
Hi Kevin. Were you out on Stellwagen on Saturday? Thought I saw you and radioed a few times but no luck. I'm kicking myself big time - - fought on light gear a tuna for over two hours. Got it to the boat and a I asked my crew to pass me my gaffs, and they weren't there. I had loaned them to someone. Fish freaked and got caught in the running gear and popped off. Easily 5' and thick.

No Tuna
Tuna fishing sucks down here in RI, the Mudhole, Gully, & Fairway Buoy are all dead. No bait no birds no boats no fish! We had a short slug of them 2 weeks ago then they disappeared.
