Butch wrote:Hell I had my dates mixed up too. I will be there Thursday and Friday night, and will have to leave Saturday, I have a conflict on Sunday. I guess we will tie up and stay out of the Raft. Does anybody have a diesel driven ice maker? The price of diesel is dropping faster than it went up. Gas powered blender???? interesting !!See everybody in a few weeks
Butch,
You don't have to stay out of the raft up. We will get you out with no problems. Musical boats is part of the fun. Since your coming in Thursday you can pick the spot. I'll be there Friday afternoon.

I didn't think it would be an issue but I thought I should ask.
I had a couple of NON-Albin owners ask about rafting up with us in September. Doesn't matter to me. Any comments?

We will be there Thurs and Fri nights. I have reserved a slip but may join the raft during the day.

I must have missed something. Where is this raftup? We will be at Tilghman Island over the the weekend after Labour Day preparing for our next RV trip. All going well & raftup location not too far away, we may be able to pay a visit.

See Below. We'll have a couple of dingys. Carl is going to have a slip as well.

I see in the Cheasapeake Bay magazine there is a Poker Run that same weekend and a go fast raft up at Jelly Fish Joels. I think Butch needs to come up with some "Rocket Fuel" for his Albin and enter his 28 in the run!

I decided to take the week too. We're going to Baltimore Marine Center Monday, Annapolis City Marina Tuesday. Back home for a couple of days and then Fairlee on Friday morning.

Baltimore - Monday
Annapolis - Tuesday

Anyone up for dinner? Give me a call.

Hurricane Hanna:
Scheduled to arrive with rain on Saturday. I know it's too early to make a decision but the Admiral is already talking about it.

My guess is that Hanna will be traveling up the bay when we are traveling down the Bay. Forces in the opposite direction even in a Albin is not a good idea. The best of the season is still ahead. see you all at another time

Kind of early to be judging what a hurricane, or its remnants will be doing 72 hours away. During my chartering years if I had based a go/no go on a trip even 24 hours from departure time based on a forcast, I would have hardly ever moved.

#2 rule in boating: never let the weather win.
#1: keep the water on the outside
