Hi, my name is Patti, live in California, and would love to own an Albin. Currently hubby and I are looking for either a 40 or 43' and have only located 1 in Washington, nothing in California, which is a real bummer. It appears most of the member are east coasters, anyone from the West?

Patti,
Did you know that a Hershine is the same hull, etc as an Albin in that 70s/80s era?
I looked at a couple on the E coast, but I see many more on the W coast.
I think Hershine was an imorter from your coast.
Something to check out.

Jay,
I didn't know that, ironically I have been on one 37' Hershine in SF, just last weekend as a matter of fact. Must be why I looked at it, love the flared bow. You are right, many more Hershines here on the west coast than there are Albins. I just don't seem to find many of these classic Hershines in the over 40' range, or Albins for that matter.
Question: Do you or anyone on the forum have knowledge in the transporting of these type trawlers via truck? I have been told most trawlers have too high a bridge clearance to be trucked. Any information would be appreciated.
