Anyone out there know of a good source for replacement and add on pieces to the fresh water system components on an Albin?
My 1997 28TE has what I believe are WHALE piping and fittings. I want to add a number of items:
- An accumulator tank to provide more consistent pressure
- A hot water heater check valve (currently my cold water can be VERY hot when first turned on due to back flow out of the hot water heater)
- A 'city water' inlet with pressure regulator so I can hook up to 'shore water', or whatever it's called, when at a marina
I'd also like to install a tank gauge on the fresh water tank. I keep my boat on a mooring and it's not always that easy to get somewhere where I can fill the tank. Knowing what's in it would be a big help.
Any thoughts and sources would be appreciated. I've looked at the obvious ones, West Marine and Defender, they seem to have some of the stuff, I'd like to find a single source for both the parts and advice.

I have added some things to my water system, I have a 95 TE. I don't know off hand what type of pipe is in my boat, just match the color of your fittings to your pipe color and it should work fine. I added a one gallon bladder tank to even out the water pump hammer and to give some storage. That worked pretty well but I also put in a new water pump I bought from Defender, that operates at a variable speed. That completly removed any water hammer I had. I also put in remote tank sensors to "see" through my two water tanks and the black water tank. The name of the unit is Sensa Tank bought at West Marine.
