When the Digests option was installed a few months ago it was "on" by default to new members. Members that were already registered had to turn it on.
I have had a few emails asking me to stop sending the digests. I don't send them, the "board" sends them automatically. If you do not want the daily/weekly digests click on the digests.php link at the top of the page and turn them off.
I have also changed the default to "OFF". So, if you want them...
