Boat Splashes today

Post by Denis »

The best day of the year has finally arrived, granted it is not the best day with wind and rain forecast, but who cares.
I always get very anxious that I will have some sort of leak or the engine will not start but hopefully I have checked everything. I changed the packing in the rudder stuffing box and I adjusted the shaft stuffing box, I also started the engine last week so most of the serious stuff should be fine. I really wanted to install a new battery in the forward compartment right next to the bow thruster to try and get a little more push from my small motor but there is just no room. I have not given up completely, but I'll look into what the smaller batteries have that are available. :D

I go through the same anxiety every year. Every year things are fine.

Needless worry, everything went fine, no leaks and the engine started just fine. Now the real cleaning begins, but I love it.
