Sound shield

Post by dosched »

I have a 1990 32+2 and want to do some sound shield work on the engine compartment. Any suggestions on products or methods?
Appreciate the help.

I just replaced the sound insulation on my generator this year and got it from McMaster- Carr on line, comes in bulk width of 54"and its sold by the foot at about $18.00 a foot. I used product #5692T53 which has an adhesive to stick to the fiberglass and a foil to resist heat , you can go to home depot and buy a roll of foil faced tape by Nashua for duct work to seal the edges.Worked great for keeping the gen quiet
