Albin Owners Group

I was in a conversation last weekend with a boater at my marina who is a broker at <> Yacht Sales located in Cos Cob, Ct. He was telling me they want to sponsor an Albin rendezvous in the NE area in 2016.
I told him I would make this info available on the AOG site. So here it is.

I would think this group would want to jump on this asap to get dates reserved, etc. I have been to manufacturer sponsored rendezvous in the past (Mainship) and they were always fantastic.

So the cards are on the table. Let's here some comments yay or nay.

Seems like a win win. Would be a big help to next year's coordinator. Was he looking to do it at a specific marina?

They are dealers for new Albins, correct? Sounds like a winner to me.

There is another Marina on Peconic Bay called Treasure Cove in Riverhead. They have a pool, picnic area, snack bar, aquarium is next door, great eating establishments, floating docks and a water park 20 minutes away. I had spoke to them last year and they could handle up to 20 boats. They are about an hour and half from Greenport west. I could speak to them further and get more details if there is any interest.

We are away for 2 weeks, I will contact him upon our return.
Hopefully we can set a date early and get everyone thinking rendezvous.

Fred Peters of Albin fame passed away suddenly a week ago.
I was notified of this by Brian Norman who was attempting to organize a northeast rendezvous.
Maybe we can still have a rendezvous???
