Post by kjg1951 »

Where are the weep holes located around the sliding windows ... 1983 36 albin .... All my window frames have been painted ,, so I am wondering if the weep holes were painted over ... So hence my question as to the location of the weep holes ... Thanks for the feedback

At or near the aft part of the slider track. Be advised the track hole and the frame hole do not always line up. Some of mine did not. They do now.

Yes thru the wood frame how else could it drain?
Can't send a pic as I'm cruising and trying to stay under my data plan.

Will take a piece of wire and try to feel for the opening ... The wood frame on the out side of the windows were painted that's why I was asking about the drain through the wood ... Thanks for your help

Actually they are slots maybe 1 to 2 inches long
I'm the frame milled out on the fiberglass side of the wood. But it's the holes in the slider track that clog.

I was able to locate the weep holes and all are now cleaned out , hopefully when it rains again the leaky windows will drain probably.. would make sense if the holes were clogged that the rain water would build up and overflow inside ... thank you for all the help.
