FINAL RENDEZVOUS INFORMATION AND DETAILS - Important Update
Posted: Fri Jun 06, 2014 4:57 pm
Lets all get ready for the Chesapeake Albin Rendezvous at the Cambridge, MD Yacht Club on the beautiful Choptank
River. It will begin Friday June 20, 2014, and continue Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday night we will have a get together in the gazebo which is right by our slips. The gazebo is
located on the dock, it has a roof in case of inclement weather, a bar with stools and tables and grill.
On Saturday morning we will be having a talk by Bayrd Taylor who is the new owner of an Albin 28,
FRIEND SHIP, he has just taken his first long trip down the Inland Waterway, and should be back
just in time for the rendezvous.
On Saturday afternoon, everyone should bring a covered dish for our cookout.
On Saturday evening at the Yacht Club, there will be an excellent 60's rock and roll band called The
Golden Touch- they are the best band on the Eastern Shore, and we are all welcome to come
to the club, have dinner and drinks, or just come for the dance band.
There are many sights to see in Cambridge, most of which are within walking distance.. There are about five
restaurants within a few blocks, and lots of things to see.. I am going to make up a walking map for
those not familiar with Cambridge.
Please be sure and call Linda, CYC Manager, at 410 228 2141 to make your slip reservation.. It will
be $1.50 per foot and $5. for 20 amp electric per day.
Remember these slips are all 40' and 50' slips, so bring some long dock lines to make it easier to
tie up.
Please give me a call on my Verizon cell at 410 228 8888 if you have any questions,
