We have had our 31te with the Cummins 450 for three years and about 300 hours. Not a single problem. Love the boat and motor. Every time our mechanic gets on the boat he raves about it. No downside I can think of other than having to learn to handle a single screw and that has been a fun challenge.

We're into our 11th year - just turned 1000hrs. The only problem was the engine/tranny damper plate, the rubber cushions disintegrated - pieces found in the bilge - replaced three years ago $2000.
