VA to FL Shakedown Cruise

We recently delivered our "new to us" 1988 Albin 36 Double Cabin trawler from the Rappahanock River in the Cheasepeake to St. Petersburg, FL via the ICW and Lake Okeechobee. Just over 1,300 miles in 3 weeks. To read about the trip you can view our blog at http://chesterbvoyage.blogspot.com/. Use the archive links on the right of the blog to start at the earliest posting to view in date order. It was a great trip despite some setbacks; next time we'll do it at a more liesurely pace!

Welcome to Forida Albin land, Chester. Enjoyed your blog. Reminded me of our trip up and back on the waterway - a great trip on a great American resource. As your home base seems to be Venice, try and make the Albin rendezvous at Cape Harbor the end of March 2012. If it is better than this years we should have 25 or 30 Albins in attendance. A lot to see and much advice as well as a wonderful time in a super Harbor. Hope to see you along the coast and thanks for the blog. Great reporting.
