Albin Owners Group

It is looking like boating season is coming to the northeast, we have had several days with sun and 50+ degree weather.
Early in the year they said we had that weekend locked up for us until May for the AOG rendezvous but they have been getting pressure from other groups for that weekend (I guess we picked a good weekend ). They asked that we make our reservations as soon as possible so as not to miss out on this date.
I was told that the below 9 boats have reservations. If you plan on coming please reserve as soon as you can so we do not loose out on this. If there are any errors in the below please respond or pm me and I will update.
Now go out there and start waxing !!!!

Hi Matt,
I plan on calling in a reservation this week for Mahalo. With the sun being out I might just stop on down an start preparing her this Sunday for an April Drop in.

I just tried calling but they aren't open on weekends right now. Think I'll reserve Thursday thru Sunday, although I do expect I'll have to leave on Saturday. Really looking forward to this trip!

On a side note: My buddy launched his 25 Mako yesterday. At 2 hours off of high tide he could barely get through the shoals east of the USCG station in Moriches. His marina is up that way. And that's with twin outboards tilted up and idling. He knows that area better than anyone, he said it was a disaster

I hope they will dredge the bad areas by then, but hey, thats what I love about the skeg on 28s
I could always go around! I haven't been through the FI inlet in a while now

We were talking about a trip for Memorial Day to Westhampton Beach. We'll call the dockmaster there, as he is in "the know" as his marina depends on the dredging for business.

Sounds good Gery, when either of us find out more we should start another thread in "General Discussion"

Also, I am sure the number of slips available at Coecles is dwindling down as this is a fairly small quaint place, not a mega-marina with hundreds of slips. So anyone who is planning to call in a reservation but hasn't yet should do so. Moorings should not be an issue and they likely offer the slips of any fulltime residents who may be away that weekend.

Just talked with Nancy at Coecles Harbor Marina to make my reservation, got the last available slip! according to her.
Mary and I will arrive midday Friday, looking forward to seeing everyone again, Essex was great!

I have a call out to Coecles for an update list of attendees, unfortunately the person that handles this is on vacation.
If we have reached their transient slip allocations, I still urge others to call in and reserve a mooring. I was advised that they usually have some non-transit slips available. AOG members that have moorings would be first to move into these. They will know better as we get closer to the weekend.

As soon as I get confirmations I will update.

Matt, we are holding a spot but we have to drop out , someone can pick up my reservation. I am in sales and have been awarded a trip to St Lucia that week. My wife and I were really looking forward to coming, I guess we will have an OK time in St Lucia. I have not notified the marina and will be happy to have someone take over my spot.
We will cruise up that direction in August maybe we will be able to see a few Albin Owners, will post our projected plan.

Jack and Barbara on Kokomo out of Huntington Bay hope to make it but there are too many uncertainties this year to reserve. If we get to go, we will hope for a last minute opening.
