As you know, this years rendezvous is a coordinated effort between Albin Owners Group and The Florida Albin Club. Chuck Waygood is our coordinator and is working hard to make this a great time.
John Kays of the Florida Albin Club was kind enough to prepare this information.

Hi Rendezvouers!!

As of this writing, we will have 27 Albins here for Rendezvous 2011. We will have 13 boats arriving on Tuesday, March 22 and 1 boat on Monday, March 21. The dockage fee will continue to be $1 per foot for the extra day(s). That is a great bargain.

The purpose of this note is to outline Navigation clues to getting here and once here your procedure for getting into Cape Harbour Marina.

Most of you will be coming south on the intracostal and as you swing around Sanabel on a easterly heading you will enter the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River at Green 101 (NOAA CHART 11427). You will be in a slow zone as you continue on an easterly course. At Red 92 come left on a North Westerly heading. You will see the channel markers. Up ahead you will see two Condo developments. The one on your starboard side is Tarpon Point. The tall buildings on your port side are Cape Harbour. That is where you want to go. The channel is well defined and the water is good. This continues to be a slow zone so watch your speed.

As you approach Cape Harbour, you will see “Rum Runner's" Restaurant dead ahead. You will come left and you will see the Lock that you must transit to enter the major spreader and the marina entrance. The lock is manned and you will get a green light when you should enter. Two 32-2 or 3 TE 28's is about all that can go at one time. The Lock Master will assist. (you do not need to hail the lock)

Once clear of the lock the marina entrance is about 100 yards on your right. At that point, you need to contact the marina for dockage. We have your dockage assigned and help will be on site to help you tie up.

For the boats arriving prior to Wednesday. As you enter the marina entrance, contact the Dockmaster on channel 16. They have a listing of your boat but you should still indicate that you are a part of the Rendezvous. Chuck will be around as some of you arrive.

For the boats arriving on Wednesday, March 23. As you enter the entrance to the Marina, you will contact John Kays on channel 16. His call sign is "LETSGO". John or Chuck Waygood will be on hand to direct you to your dockage and help tie up. They will solicit help from the other owners to give me a hand.

For all Boats: When you are shipshape at your dock sight, please go to the Dockmaster's Office to sign in. There you will get info for the rest rooms, showers, etc.
