Prop for "85 Albin 36

Post by odea »

I'd appreciate some info on the prop for a 1985 Albin 36 with a Lehman 135 and velvet drive transmission. I'm contemplating carrying a spare. Does that make sense in light of keel protected location. If so, what are specs? and possible sources?

It is always good to have a spare prop. And a prop puller, the tools required to change it, and spare hardware (nuts, key, cotter pins). Dive gear is optional.
Can't help you on size, but sources can include your local Craig's list, local consignment shops, "Boats and Harbors" (aka "the yellow sheet"), www.boatdiesel.com, ebay, local prop shops, your marina, etc.
