Adding a Swim platform to 28TE

Post by OldDemps »

Greetings,
I just bought a 28TE and considering adding a swim platform to it. It does not have one currently.

1) Any sources for buying the step and brackets? OEM or aftermarket sources?

2) suggestions for mounting?

The boat is 2000 28' TE - Yanmar W/O transom door, but I'll just have to make do. Most want the swim platform for carrying a Dingy and boarding.

Thanks

If you don't want fiberglass, Contact the folks at the PlasTeak company, they will make the platform, have the brackets and do fantastic work! They have several colors and styles available

They made the bridge (side) grabrails, the platform, and the ladder steps. We have also ordered the two transom and aft cabin steps, but haven't seen them yet. We are VERY pleased with everything they did for us.

That looks very nice! Much more "Yachty" than my factory swim platform.
