Another Singapore Albin 28TE and Albin 31TE owner

Post by lawrento »

Hi AlbinOwners,
I am Lawrento, New member from Singapore .. and works in Indonesia .
Fell in love with Albin boats as there are severals here in Singapore for the past 15 years or so ...
Finally able to afford it , bought my `first Albin 28TE year 2003 last year as the exchange rate is favourable during that time.
This year 2010, also due to favourable US$ rate, bought my second Albin 31TE year 1996 but met up with a Snag .... forwarding agent got into financial troubles.
Have to pay double $$. finally arrives in Singapore this May 2010.
Now undergoing refurbishing works .... use 230volts here in Singapore.
Plan to change all electronics to New Garmin system, Kohler genset, maxwell RC-10 windlass, Guest 503 spot/flood lights, Aircon system as Singapore all year round is about 30 - 34 C. battery charger....
Will have to learn more experiences from You All at this AlbinOwners website.
Pls advice ...
Thanks,
Lawrento.

Lawrento,
Welcome to AOG. Another Singapore member! Be sure to stick a pin in the members map. Post some pictures of your boating travels.
Have to pay double $$. finally arrives in Singapore this May 2010.
I'm curious. Double shipping? Duty? How favorable is the price between the US and Singapore?

for a forty footer boat, the costs of shipping can be around USD $25,000, this is for a mainship trawler

Hi AlbinOwners,
Sad Story .....
My first forwarder defaulted on the shipping charge, so the shipper have to bill me again for the same amount.
One of those day.
Cheers,
Lawrento

we love trawler boats & albin boats are great for fishing in Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia. I will be bringing my boat on a 120 nautical trip to pulau tioman tomorrow. I need to refule there before i head back in 4 days time. Will post some of these on my youtube webpage... www.youtube.com/watzhott
