Just wrote a post on this on this forum. Titled it - Seam between foredeck and hull. I've had the same problem. Picked up the boat in San Diego and have had it in a yard in Portland Or. this winter. With the rain have noticed leaking where you describe primarily on the port side. Please read my other post, but the problem I think can be traced to the seam between the foredeck and hull. There are numerous screws some connecting the foredeck to hull, some fastening on the rub rail and some fastening on the chrome. All need to be caulked, and I fear that on some boats work was rather shoddy when manufactured. Also the bedding material used under the rub rail was not uniform on my boat; it had skip areas, these were acting like a sponge holding water. I think to address the problem, you're faced with removing the rub rail and the gel like bedding material underneath. Then caulking every single screw and rebedding the rub rail with new caulk. I used 3M 4200. I have only done the port side of my boat, but am happy to report that at this date it does not leak. (and we've had several wet storms in Portland since I did this) I realize I'll probably have to do the starboard side, but this may have to wait until I have more time. Also I haven't discovered any leaks on the starboard side, but that's probably wishful thinking
Let me know what you find and what you decide to do

I had the same issue on our 31TE starboard side over the v berth. I removed the trim on the inside and filled the leaking holes with caulk. I realize that the proper repair would be to remove the rub rail and re caulk each hole, but so far it has held and it was a 15 minute fix.

I just want to let everyone know who has had the same problem
that i seem to have stopped the leak.My suspicions of the origin
so far appears to be right. The drains in the anchor locker are of
the same level of the inside liner,so first i taped off the two
hatches so no water could get in.After a couple of rains
no leaks.Removed tape and sealed around both drains with
boat life sealant, have had some really good rains and
no leaks.Let"s hope i am right

My boat had the same problem last year and I chaulked the rub rail. It fix the leak. Hope this helps.
