35 TE hull material

Post by stevej941 »

New to the board!
Can anyone verify the date Albin began to use the Divinycell foam in the hull bottoms of the 35TE models. I have a 2001 and believe the thru hull areas are solid glass and the remaining bottom and hull sides are foam cored. I have read this in a 2000 year Boating Magazine Article but would like confirmation from this sites wealth of knowledge.
Thanks for any info![/img]

My hull is an '02 28TE with the hull made late '01 and has the Airex foam below the waterline and solid glass where through hulls were fitted or where an option may have not been installed so if added later the benefit would be there. The Airex core goes shortly above the water line and then solid glass to the gunnel. I believe this process began during the 2000 year production. I wish someone knew at what hull #'s going forward this process took place. My info came from Standish Boat Yard.
here is link to the press release.
