Chunks

Rick,

We were both live-lining pogies and drift/chunking with fresh pogies on Friday. There are menhaden all over the bay and we can usually snag a baitwell full in about half an hour if I get up early enough. At one point I had 2 huge striped bass chase my live pogie up to the surface and chase it 10-15 feet before one of them crashed it. The whole pogie disappeared in a flash, what a rush!

Nice fish. It was the weekend for it. We fished Friday (56 degrees rain and fog in the am) What a day, we limited out and released several more all 36" and above. The biggest was 41" and 22 lbs.

Contrast that with another spectacular day on the bay - Saturday. 90 degrees and full sunshine. Ya gotta love New England weather. Another bunch of great fish. The one on the left was 25lbs and 42"
