The Albin 28 TE is a versatile cruising and fishing vessel known for its solid construction, seaworthiness, impressive range, and fuel efficiency. Powered by a dependable 315 HP Yanmar engine, it delivers a fun, safe, and reliable experience on the water.
I am the second owner of this Albin. It spent the majority of its life (first 19 years) in fresh water only.
It has been expertly maintained year over year, and the Yanmar 6LP-STE diesel engine with Velvet Drive V-drive transmission is at 2100 hours and impeccably clean and fully serviced.
It has been updated during my ownership. Some notables: Garmin touch sensitive radar and sonar. Brand new Vetus bow thruster motor/system installed in 2025. New bilge pump, freshwater system, and more.
It is currently stored in Danvers, MA and in the process of being winterized. I also have a pre-paid mooring at Hawthorne Cove Marina in Salem, MA which can be transferred for the cost I paid (they have a waiting list).
There are no major issues. It does need wiring work for the windlass and windshield wipers. The clear coat on the hull has a little peeling which is common for it’s age but can be fixed with a new vinyl wrap if it bothers you.
I have this priced for a fast sale as-is pending sea trial in Spring. I’m also happy to provide a full marine survey which was done in 2017 to serious buyers. This is priced below market value at $49,500 for a firm and quick sale. This includes my winterization service and storage costs; however, you would be responsible for the spring commissioning.
