2003 28 TE Stringer Material

Post by Tspidel »

I am buying a 28 TE and my surveyor found high moisture readings under the motor mounts. I am getting conflicting information whether they are cored with wood or airex. Any thoughts. Thanks Tom.

Not sure about under the engine bed, but 2004 has foam forward of engine bed based on feel at top of large limber hole. If I recall right there is a transition seam where this meets the engine bed. Not sure if that transition is due to change in core material, change in glass thickness, or both
