From another topic:
Bit of a language issue here. Being of the British persuasion I now realize that what I refer to as a strake is, in the former colonies, referred to as a rail. I will repost this under a new topic: "Rub Rail Replacement??"
Any ideas on the replacement of the RUB RAIL on a 27FC would be read with thanks and acted upon this layup. Mine is the original and now a bit banged up, so replacement is now for practical "no bang" reasons and aesthetics.
Thanks and sorry for any confusion.

Re: Rub Rail Replacement?
Doug, I replaced my entire rubrail last year. The insert and the rubber rail are available from Hamilton Marine Supply. I only needed the rubber portion, as my insert was still good and fits the new rail very well. The new rail is a little larger and more robust but looks identical to the old one. If you'd like to talk about it, give me a "PM" and I'll pass on my phone number. I'll see if I can find my old invoice with the part numbers and the prices. Ben '87 27FC
