Re: 2016 rendezvous
The following yachts are confirmed:
1. Serenity.......................Max
2. Midnight Rambler..........Chris
3. Southern Cross.............Gene
4. Dog House...................Matt
5. Joint Venture.................John
6. Wine Down...................David
7. Shady Lady...................Jeremy
8. Tenacious.....................Rob
If there are any corrections to be made to your vessel name, please let me know. My "fashion designer" does not like to make mistakes that are not hers.
If we can get 2 more boats, E dock is ours. Oh, there will be live music on the weekend. It will either be Rap, Hip Hop or a Southern Baptist revival group singing all your favorites.
I spoke to Treasure Cove and they have picnic tables and bar b q's at each dock. So bring your charcoal.
I am taking a drive out to Treasure Cove on Wednesday to check things out and come up with a "Theme". Rob had mention Palm trees, but the moths beat him to it. If anyone has any ideas, good ones, please chime in. Or, we could just have a good time and mingle and talk about your favorite Presidential candidate.
Enjoy the weekend. To all my fellow guys and women that served, thanks.

Re: 2016 rendezvous
Rob, funny you mentioned that. I have a picture of Matt fishing on DOGHOUSE in the inlet and I was going to e-mail him this morning about the spelling. However since you are his spokes person, I won't have to.
Thank you
Thank you

On a side note, we only need 267 more "views" to hit 2000. Is that a "Guiness" record?

I help him out with some "admin" stuff and it gives me unlimited access to his beer supply.....and he knows how to fit more cases of beer in the bilges of a 28 Albin than anyoneSerenity wrote:Rob, funny you mentioned that. Re: 2016 rendezvous
Yeah I know. Is that why Doghouse always lists to starboard. I understand that if you keep Meisterbrau for 5 years in your bilge, it turns to diesel fuel.
Yes on the location on Treasure Cove. It is in Riverhead village on the Peconic river. Chelsea Lambert is our contact and she is excellent.
See you and the crew then.

Re: 2016 rendezvous
The cut off date for the free personalized bag is June 15. As of now we have the whole transient dock to ourselves. The water is 6 feet deep at low tide. We will have a short walk to the bathrooms, outdoor pool, Aquarium and Tiki bar. I am going to arrange for 2 or 3 picnic tables be arranged at the end of the dock. They have 2 park like bar b q's. So bring charcoal. As more info is available I will let you guys know. Rumor has it that Matt put a couple of cases of his favorite brew on the starboard side of Doghouse to balance the yacht. These Albins take a beating and keep on going.

Re: 2016 rendezvous
Hey everybody!
Home Instead checking in!
Unfortunately we can't make it to the rendezvous this year as we will be departing on a different boat trip the next morning... My wife and I plan on driving out to make an appearance at Treasure Cove just to say hi. We were hoping to get one of those neat tote bags with "Home Instead" on it if thats possible even though we won't be staying there on the boat. Things have been busy... the girls are headed to college at the end of the summer! Drew at UAlbany and Laura at Oswego! We stayed at Treasure Cove about two years ago and attended the Riverhead street fair. Accomodations were great!
Wishing you all a great summer season,
John
