Wow that decking looks incredible. Mind if we ask what the total cost on that was?

Just under $2,5k
Base price is $25 per square foot. (70 sf on the engine box model)
Another $300 for the swim platform and $300 for installation

This is the dealer I used:
https://www.castawaycustoms.com/
They were responsive, on time and did a great job.
Ask for Ben Smith and say hello from the recent Albin 28 job in Fort Lauderdale.

That is really a nice improvement. Not bad given the change in appearance it makes.

Re: Modifications, repairs and improvements, 28TE
Found this placard attached to the forward bulkhead inside the head cabinet below the sink. (!)
Figured I should move it to a better place where it is actually visible.
Does everybody else have the same typo on it....?

I don't see the typo but I'm visually shot from being at the desk all day... anyway, be sure to keep it under 35 knots !

Typo is on the measurements in meters, both are 9.55, one of them is wrong.

Re: Modifications, repairs and improvements, 28TE
Seat pedestals were pretty corroded and dirty.
Tried various ways polishing today including 400 grit wet sand, metal polish, etc.
Final result was okay, but will try something else for the other side.
Any good ideas?

Starboard side is next, perhaps even worse than the Port side.

Pulled this little barrel bolt off the boat as it is corroded and pitted.
Looked at hundreds of images on the internet to find a new one and finally hit pay-dirt. Made by Perko and called Boat Bolt, not barrel bolt.
They sell on the internet for between $15 and $62.

My seats are mounted on two sheets of StarBoard and they aren't on pedestals, they are on sliders that don't swivel. I'm planning on upgrading to a Todd conventional pedestals like yours, that swivel and slide.

Halfway done with the Starboard base.
Used a copper pad and soapy water for 3 minutes, then 400 grit sandpaper and soapy water for 15, then 2 rounds with Collinite metal wax.
Final result ok, kind of shiny, but not quite show-boat finish. 16 year old boat, I am content.

Found the Boat Bolt at West Marine today, at a slightly higher price than the $15 I paid on the internet..

Finished the Starboard side. Some pitting left on back rest support, tried to get it off with Barkeeps Friend or whatever that polish is called.
Looking for a new seat in the future, can live with this in the meantime.
