I would say, it will be floating way before the stern is that deep in the water.

Absolutely no issues besides the flattest of ramps. (Wethersfield CT we had all tow vehicle wheels in water but no float. Yours sit exactly as high as ours

Good to hear!

Yes, the stern will be floating (the pic is only for illustration purposes) but it appears to me that the bow will be held about 1’ above the true water line by the keel bunk, as shown here.

Can’t say I’ve never given a boat a push off a trailer in my life - actually, have done that even for my wife’s 15’ Whaler.

The bunk will be wet too so it will be “slippety” as my kids used to say.

To answer my own question, yes, I am overthinking it.

We added some HDPE and some rollers to the keel bunk. Should be more images in the forum.

Depending on tide I sometimes have to nudge my boat off the trailer. Drive forward 3’ roll back to the water edge and brake abruptly; slips off with no fuss. Getting back on is no problem with just a few cranks of the winch for the last 5’. I have roller bunks on my trailer which makes it a bit easier.

OMG!

It slipped my mind that we had a real live Tribologist on the forum!

So so sorry, Ulf! My apologies.

Tribologist…. An expert in all things slippety. Or not.

“Slipped my mind…”. Get it? I got a million of them!
