To the Missing Holding Tank Blues group;

We have a different setup with 2 heads, which I also have a Raritan Electra
Scan (which is a Type 1 USCG Approved system) to handle the effluent. I am
plumbed to discharge to the Electra Scan and then overboard or to a 40g
holding tank.

We are removing one of the regular heads and putting in a composting system
in the forward head, basically to do Lake Champlain and the Canadian canal
systems for the Loop which we hope to start next year.

The composting system seems to have the advantage of lasting about 3mo
before the bottom part needs to be emptied, which I understand due to the
peat isn't messy, and a week or so before you pour the pee bottle over the
side.

We are getting the Air Head, after much investigation and a sit test at the
Annapolis Boat Show.

This may be an alternative for you.

Good luck.

Best regards,

Charles

Hi Charles do you keep your boat at Worton Creek marine. I'm at the Wharf at Handys Point. Beside Green Point marina. Well really it home in my driveway. I live close by.I tried to put a composting toilet in but didn't have the room. I envy your space.

The new Marina requires an inspection of the head and discharge system. I think I'm going to pull it and put one of those 49 dollar West 5 gallon bucket w a toilet seat in. Me: "What discharge system?" I haul the bucket out after each use."
