Yes I intend to make it useable and test it out in coastal Maine waters. I think it will be difficult for my wife to get on board from a dinghy without a transom door like a 28 has. That would be a reason for me to sell. Albin 28 requires a boat yard for haul out which is why I chose the 25 in the first place. As far as the repower I spent more time on the wet exhaust routes and a “gooseneck “ to prevent back flow from the transom. I would not be comfortable with the original Albin exhaust route which seemed too “flat “.
Another difference is that my transmission ratio is 3.14 rather than the standard 2.62. As a correction, I have found a RH 17x16 3 blade propeller 1” SAE taper shaft. I will follow up with pictures next month
